ABSTRACT
Hemorrhagic transformation (HT) is part of the natural history of ischemic stroke,and is a common complication of therapeutic interventions used in the acute phase of ischemic stroke,such as intravenous thrombolytic therapy.HT is associated with poor outcomes after stroke and the reason for underusing of reperfusion therapies.Understanding of the definitions,classifications,risk factors,diagnosis and treatment of HT is helpful for better management and future researches on HT.Therefore,a consensus statement for diagnosis and treatment of HT was drafted based on current available evidence.Several drafts were circulated until a consensus was achieved,and the final statement was approved by the Chinese Society of Neurology and the Chinese Stroke Society.
ABSTRACT
The prevalence of silent brain infarction (SBI) in elderly people is as high as 28％,which could progress to symptomatic cerebral infarction and cognitive impairment.In order to standardize diagnosis and treatment of SBI,Chinese Society of Neurology and Chinese Stroke Society organize experts in China to show strong evidence and give advices on the following issues:(1) MRI is superior to CT on the diagnosis of SBI,and associated sequence of MRI is described.(2) How to identify SBI to avoid misdiagnosis.(3) Management of SBI mainly focuses on the prevention of risk factors,such as hypertension,diabetes,atrial fibrillation and so on.An appropriate diagnosis and treatment path is proposed to avoid over diagnosis and treatment.
ABSTRACT
Since the Chinese guidelines for diagnosis and treatment of acute ischemic stroke 2014 published,many effective progresses have been made during the past four years.Guidelines update is necessary to improve the management of acute ischemic stroke.The Chinese guidelines for diagnosis and treatment of acute ischemic stroke 2018 is approved by Chinese Society of Neurology,Chinese Stroke Society.The purpose of the guideline is to provide up-to-date recommendations in management of acute ischemic stroke,especially in pre-hospital care,emergency evaluation and diagnostic pathway,intravenous thrombolysis,endovascular treatment and multi-model image evaluation.The concept of systematic management of stroke is emphasized.
